me an my fiance got into a fight so im looking at charges on assualt on a family member she has let me use her truck plenty of times before so i was mad an i took the truck along with the iphone that we both use because there is no house phone i took the laptop because it belongs to me but im being charged with keeping her from contacting help also her firearm was in the truck i didn't know that but she told the police officer it was in there i never knew where she kept it so all together im looking a charges for assualt on a family member taking the viechle without her consent taking the iphone an laptop stealing of a firearm an preventing her from calling the police

Sounds horrible, but you did not ask a question.

I would strongly encourage you to see a lawyer.

There is someone that I suggest you should call in the 20147 zip code who is a genius in criminal defense, although he works only through a locally-licensed Virginia attorney. So he would help you get hooked up with an appropriate Virginia lawyer right there in the area.

The question is how much you are willing to spend for this, because there are lawyers at different prices. And some of them are worth the money and some of them are not, regardless of the price.

I think that if your fiance has let you use the truck in the past, you may have implied permission to drive it. It might be wrongful in a civil sense, but perhaps not in a criminal sense.

Assault on a family member seems harder to get around, but I don't know your facts.

I don't understand what the charges are about the gun.
