Kingpin Charge

I have a friend that is being charge with the title of kingpin. He haven't went to trail yet. It all start from someone borrowing his car and got caught making a drug deal. He wasn't no where near the crime. He was at home and they got his address for the registration and came to arrest him. He been incarcerated since Dec1,08 without bond. All the evidence is base on statements giving from that person and other dealers that took plea. They ofter him a plea of 10yrs and he said no, because he didn't do anything wrong. His family retain a lawyer but he feels he's not working for him he really needs help before he get some unbelievable time. They found no drugs or anything after searching his home. They didn't have a warrant when they came to arrest him. He didn't know what they was arresting him for until he got to he jail and say the person whom had his car there and question it. The night of the arresting officer call his po and so he could put a retainer on him. I think this is personal and he really needs help what can I do.

Re: Kingpin Charge

Your best bet is to advise your friend to talk to his attorney to see if he can work out the problem with the representation. If that doesn't work then he should get a new lawyer. He should make sure the lawyer has experience dealing with historical drugs like what you are describing.
