Legal Question in DUI Law in Virginia

Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program

My husband was charged with DUI offense, now has restricted license after paying reinstatement fee.Has completed 8 hours community service, paid all court costs, attended all VASAP classes and has paid all their fees. In other words, he has complied with everything that was ordered by the judge. Now VASAP informs him he has to pay as much $200-$250 more by attending more classes, or attend AA meetings. What is your opinion on this matter? Can they legally do this when the judge did not order further treatment after completion of original VASAP compliances ? Thank You in advance for any advice !

Re: Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program

Your husband's attorney should be asked to review the matter and, if appropriate, contact VASAP to make sure that what they are now requiring of your husband does not go beyond the bounds of what the court actually ordered.
