Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My parents got divorced when I was 15. They had 50/50 custody, and my father was supposed to pay my mother $1k in child support a month until I turned 18 or graduated from high school. In the documents at the court house it states that even if I am at my fathers house for more than 90 days a year he will still pay it.

I moved in with my father on my own free will at the age of 16. Would this keep my mother from going back and reclaiming the child support he stopped paying WITHOUT a court order?
