Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

children of opposite gender sharing the same room

I have a 7 year old daughter and 8 year old son, who, due to divorce proceedings and an inflicted move are now sharing a room. We reduced from 6000 sqf to 1000.

Their father is now raising issue over this fact, although this has been the case for nearly 6 months now.

The kids and I left at the drop of a dime after an assault and battery on me last December and since then I have received just 1000.00 in support, while incurring over 7000.00 in legal fees alone and experiencing the loss of several jobs due to his harrassment ans well as destruction of a former employers property.

In addition, he has since been found guilty of DWI, the Grand Jury will meet on a pending cocaine posession charge next Monday, he is on a 2year SIS and 1 year PO with no contact with me which he violates daily, and has since introduced my children to 2 different females over the last 2 visitation weekends, who he claims are ''the ones'' for him. To date my children have no beds to sleep in at his house.

Re: children of opposite gender sharing the same room

So, your question is what; that the father is likely to gain custody of your children due to your currently financially straitened circumstances?

No, very unlikely I would say, under the circumstances which you've described.
