Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Divorce

I have been married for 28 years. We have lived apart for 12 years.

My husband served 6 years in the Federal Penn for selling meth.

Came home 2 years ago.

Before his arrest and serving time, we were seeing each other and planning to reconcile. After he got out we again began seeing each other and even thought did not live in the same house, we did resume an intimate relationship, even took a family vacation out west.

4 months ago he began seeing a very young woman that is taking him for everything he has, which isn't much but I am worried he will die broke if something doesn't happen.

I do not want a divorce, can I contest it and if so for how long.

I know no one can make him stayed married to me but I am trying to protect him.

He has a bad heart and I am very worried for his health and his security.

Re: Divorce

Sure, a spouse can always contest a divorce instituted by the other spouse, but that will not prevent that spouse from eventually obtaining a divorce.
