am i entitled to any of my husband's winnings?

i've been married for 19 yrs. my husband won 8,800 dollars in lottery. am i entitled, legally to any of this? so far, all he is intent on sharing with me is $500 of it. what can i do, if anything? thanks.

I believe that most lottery winnings are considered marital property which are to be shared between spouses who are still living together.

However, unless you're filing for divorce tomorrow, I would not hold my breath, if I were you, in waiting to see whether this particular equitable rule can be enforced against your husband in your current situation.
