Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Mother leaving state without fathers permission

My husband is deployed w/ military in Mississippi (we live in PA) then he will go to Iraq Jan 09. His daughters mother (8 yr old girl) has moved from NJ to FL to VA within last 2 1/2 years. Now she is moving to Oklahoma without his consent. They have joint custody agreement. She has filed ''change of address'' form in VA and is moving within next 30 days. I have a power of attorney is there ANYTHING we can do to stop her?

Re: Mother leaving state without fathers permission

Is the custody order from Pennsylvania? If it is as his agent (assuming the POA grants you the power to initiate law suits) you can file a petition opposing this move.

You need to do this soon or your husband's my waive his right to oppose this move.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
