Moving child out of state

If the mother has custody of the child, but the father has visitation rights and pays child support. Can the mother move the child out of state without permission of the father.

Re: Moving child out of state

The custodial parent is normally required to give at least 30 days advanced notice of any plans to make such a move to the noncustodial parent as well as to the court.

The noncustodial parent then has the option of requesting a hearing on the matter to contest it and to demonstrate to the court that the proposed move would not be in the subject child's best interests.
