Preventing Social Service Intervention

My husband got in some legal trouble. the commonwealth attorny is threatning to send social services to the house to investigate my sons well being my son dosen't even live with me but i do have custody is there anyway to prevent them from interferring in my sons life. or is there any information on the laws THEY have to follow and any laws i can use to protect my son from being taken from me. (my sn has never been abused or mistreated and my husbands legal trouble was comletely unrelated to my child.) THANK YOU

You don't say what your husband's "legal trouble"

is(or was). If it's drug related, for example, the

commomwealth attorney could conclude correctly that your child might be endangered.

If I were you, I would take physical custody of the child for a while until this matter "blows over", so to speak. However, before returning the child to his father, you should carefully consider

whether the child could in fact be in danger

in any way by being with his father.
