Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

question me and my mother have been subpoenaed for family court by the prosecutor to testify but my father is the defendant and his lawyer said for us to go ahead and testify is this right shouldnt we be testifying on hes behalf.

Yes, if your father's lawyer wants you and/or your mother to testify at the trial, s/he can easily arrange for that to occur whenever the defense puts on its

case in the course of the trial.
