Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Separation Finances

My husband and I have recently separated, we currently own a company together 50/50. He has gone to the bank and proceeded to have a new signature card filled out with only his name telling the bank that he is 100% owner. I only found this out when I no longer had any access to the company funds. I took my papers of incorporation to the bank to show that it was an error. What recourse do I have with the bank and with my husband?

Re: Separation Finances

Your recourse likely is to secure the services of an attorney to negotiate in your behalf a PSA(Property Settlement Agreement), or, if such is not possible, then to get the equitable distribution process going in connection with the pending divorce and let the court decide who owns what in regard to the marital assets (including the company which you've apparently now been shut out of).
