Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Out of State NCP & child support

My ex lives across the country and does not visit or share in the custody of our 7yr old. The support he proposed in the uncontested div. seems VERY low under the circumstances ($350 & $0 ins/mnth: ex @26k me @31k)- should I expect more???

Re: Out of State NCP & child support

You should run the Virginia Child Support Guidelines found at Sec. 20-108.2 of the Code of Virginia if the child resides with you in the Commonwealth in order to make a determination on this issue rather than the Kansas Guidelines, and then seek a modification in the amount of the child support if appropriate.
