Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

is there a time limit after the marriage to get an annulment in Virginia? Also I know that a couple has to meet certain criteria to get the annulment so; the fact that one in the couple has over 5000. in credit card debt and a mortgage that wasn't disclosed at the time of marriage is a suffient enough reason to get the annulment?

No (in answer to question #2), see Va Code Sec. 20.89.1 for the grounds for annulment in the Commonwealth, none of which would normally include at the time of the marriage undisclosed credit card debt or a mortgage owed by one of the parties (in my opinion).

As for a timeframe for annulment, the referenced statute would seem to suggest

that the outside time limit for annulment in Virginia would be two years from the

date of the marriage.
