Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

Son-in-law in Iraq..daughter pregnant

My daughter is pregnant and has a 4 year old living in GA. Her husband is in the military deployed to Iraq and will not be home for the birth. She needs me to come be with her at the birth and help since she has no family there. I live in VA & haved worked for same company 21 years. Do I qualify for FML?

Yes, Ma'am, it would appear that you do qualify under this circumstance for unpaid leave under the Family & Medical Leave Act(FMLA). (The foregoing assumes, of course, that your daughter's pregnancy qualifies under the Act as a "serious health condition".)
