Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Do I have any chance of winning if i sue?

well i have been having lots of problems with the school board in my city. I became pregnant and the school board has stressed me out in every way possible for my whole pregnancy. I expericend extreme morning sickness and was physically unable to attend school for about 2 months in the beginning of my pregnancy. when i was 4 months pregnant the school board took me to court and i had to attend a juvenile detention home. I was very stressed and i cryed the whole time. i was placed on probation and every since then i have been attending school normally. At the end of june i was 6 months pregnant and i went to my school so that the principal could sign my ssi papers to show that i am still enrolled in school. the principal, (the lady who has been giving me the problems) yelled at me and argued with me that she was not going to sign the papers. after arging back with her, i stormed out of the school crying and very upset. 9 days later I had my baby. he weighes 1 pound and is clinging to life. The doctors could find no medical reason why he came early and i truly believe that he came because i was so stressed out. I have very credible wittnesses to everythig that took place. If i sued for punitive damages, do i have a chance to win?

You need to consult an attorney about something this serious, as opposed to seeking relief in an online legal forum. I can tell you punitive damages (and any other big money results) are very hard to obtain in Virginia. Good luck.
