Client Notification of Employee Notice

I gave my two weeks notice to my employer. I have asked for my clients to be notified and provided with a new company contact for when I am no longer at the company. They do not seem willing to do so. Am I within my rights to send a notification to clients informing them that I will no longer be with the company and provide a new company contact?
