improper endorsed check

Has my ex husband committed a crime or broken the law by depositing a check into his account (it was made payable to him and me) without my signature? It was an escrow refund check in the amount of $897.99.

Certainly not, if it was a joint account. If it was his personal account only and no one is questioning the single endorsement, there's likely no problem (and no crime, either).
