Re: Visa

The G-4 visa is issued to officers or employees of international organizations and members of their immediate families. An example would be an employee of the World Bank from India and his immediate family members coming to the U.S. to work at the World Bank facility located in Washington, D.C. All of these persons would be eligible for the G-4 visa.

The G-1 visa is issued to the principal resident

representative of a recognized foreign member government to an international organization, his/her staff, and members of immediate family on long term assignment. An example would be the G-1 visa issued to Venezuela's ambassador to the United Nations. All of this person's staff would, also, be eligible to receive the G-1 visa as well the immediate family members of these persons who accompany them to the U.S. on long term assignment.
