Car accident

In a car accident, if you are hit but have no insurance and were not at fault for the accident because the trooper gave the other person a ticket, does the other person still have to pay for damages to your car even though you did not have insurance.

Whether or not you have insurance has no bearing on your right to recover from the other party's insurance.
