Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
change of companies
my employer is changing health insurance companies at the beginning of the year.the new companies coverage is different from present one we have now but the monthly premiums to employes is not changing.the price quotes we have in writting.don''t understand how this can be or be legal. can you please explain this for me? thank you.

Under Virginia law, your employer is not even obligated to provide a medical insurance benefit
to its employees. And if the employer, for
whatever reason wants to change the insurance carrier, it may do so,irrespective of whether the
quotes are in writing or not.
