Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
Homeowner's Insurance
My homeowner's insurance will be cancelled due to too many claims (4 of which 1 reimbursement was received) being filed with the Insurance Company-State Farm. If we did not know that our policy could be cancelled because of too many claims can we be held liable for that? Should our Insurance Agent be held liable for that. They say that we, as homeowners, should have known, but how could we have known if we didn't know to ask about any cancellations?
Please advise.
Thank you

Re: Homeowner's Insurance
If you read carefully the provisions of your
insurance policy, I'm quite certain you will find at least one(in very small print, of course,)which gives the carrier a discretionary right of cancellation for any number of reasons, which aren't necessarily spelled out, but which, always
include too many claims by the policy holder.
