In an employment at will jurisdiction, such as the Commonwealth of Virginia, an employer may terminate an employee for virtually any reason that doesn't violate federal anti-discrimination laws. Needless to say, none of the above-referenced laws are designed to protect one

who has a criminal history from adverse employment actions.
