Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Virginia

Can opposing attorney fax unrelated docs

invovled in civil lawsuit over a corporation dispute with another owner of the same company, his lawyer has faxed my wife's lawyer ( I have different lawyer myself). These documents are baseless and not verified, but; they are creating problems for my marriage. They are e-mails opposing claiming to my emails to prostutes. These documents are not related to this case at all, and here lawyer said he don't know why they would sent it to him, my lawyer said the same thing. This case is about stock purchase and has nothing to do with my personal life. Did the attorney that faxed it (opposing counsel) broke any kind of law?

Re: Can opposing attorney fax unrelated docs

No, but if these documents are as you say irrelevant to the case, they will not be admitted into evidence.
