Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

I live in Viginia and was curious if it is legal for my girlfriend and i (we are 17 at the moment) to simply park and sit in our car on a neighborhood or side street road? we often go on dates to watch the sunset or stars and are concerned of getting into trouble with local laws we do not understand. We typically either sit in or on our car to view these things but always search for secluded spots so the law enforcement doesn't ticket us for something like... i don't know, loitering. so my question is, if there is no parking or loitering restrictions posted, do we need to worry about being ticketed for anything during our dates?

Yes, if you're found to be in violation of these posted restrictions, you might

well be ticketed (in my opinion).
