Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

Title

As executor of estate I had title to the deceased motor home titled to myself. Someone else titled it to theirself in Tennessee. I was awarded ownership to the motor home in district court. There is still a title to the motor home in Tennessee. What do I need to do to clear this title and also obtain a copy of this title. All I have been able to obtain from Tennessee is a copy of the front and back of the title with the back of the title blacked out so that it is not readable. Do Department of Motor Vehicles have to have records that are readable?

Re: Title

This is really bizarre. I have never heard of

anything like that. I do not understand how

someone else could have title to the same

vehicle. You need to explain how this "someone"

did this in Tennessee.

If you got an order from the general district

court, I would recommend getting a certified

copy of the order and taking it to the DMV of

both states.

I am sure that the title has to be readable in

the DMV. They just might not believe they should

release private information to you.

Don't worry about what the current title shows.

Concentrate on showing them the court order

saying that it belongs to you and demand that

they issue a new title TO YOU.
