Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

injury on job

I sprain my wrist at work and did not fill out a report. Job did not pay for dr bill. and will not provide light duty work as stated on dr paper. what is my next step?

As a Virginia Workers Compensation Lawyer, I can tell you you have a problem. You did not fill out an accident report. This may very well mean the Employer will say your accident did not happen at work. You should attempt to fill out an accident report right away. Virginia law requires a report to your Employer in 30 days but most Employers require an immediate report. You can file a claim with the Virginia Workers Compensation Commission but you will need a medical report showing you have an injury at work.
