Legal Question in Business Law in Washington

I have a question.

I just found out that my money ($500) was stolen by my coworker.

I do not know who stole my money, but I am 99% positive that happend when I was working.

I talk to my boss, and she said they cannot do anything because persaonal items are not responsible on this company.

Should I still report to police????

Sure, you can file a police report. That said, the police are not likely to spend much time on it because it probably will not rank up there on their priorities list. Still, you should report it so that the next time it happens, or the time after that, if it keeps getting reported, they may eventually conclude that there is a problem at your place of work and then spend some time and effort on it. Also, you never know, if they speak with individual employees, one of them may get so nervous or scared that they may just confess the whole thing.

The biggest problem is that this is all just cash, and even if they found the money, proving the $500 they found is your $500 may be next to impossible. That's always the problem with recovering stolen cash. Only banks record the serial numbers.
