In answering a summons is it 20 days or 20 business days to respond to the summons. can you extend amount of days on a summons?

With a few exceptions, you have 20 calendar days to respond (or file a notice of appearance to prevent default without notice). If the 20th day falls on a non-judicial day you have until the next judicial day to file and serve your response. If you file your response by mail allow three additional judicial days for mail filing and service.
