Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Background Checks ...

I was given a pre-trial diversion to assault in the 4th degree (Dom. V). I was never arrested (was only sent a summons) and never convicted (since the charge has been put off for 1 year). Will this charge still show up on a background check? Thanks!!!

Re: Background Checks ...

If you are talking about a background check for employment or housing it should not show up. The keeper of these records is the State Highway Patrol. You should check with them to make certain that this matter will not appear on your record.
