Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Compromise of disdemeanor

Hi, I am 19 years old with a clean record. I shoplifted $64 worth of merchanises... I paid the civil demand to the company already. So I was wondering since I already paid the civil demand can I still get a ''compromise of disdemeanor with the prosecutor (the seattle city attorney)? If i can, what are the chances it will go through?

Re: Compromise of disdemeanor

You still can in theory but it is unlikely as the store has no incentive at this point to compromise with you. After all, you've already paid them. There are other options for keeping the charge off your record though so contact me directly if you'd like assistance.
