Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Criminal Trespass - 2nd Degree - No Sign Posted

I was a passenger in an automobile that entered a parking lot. There were no tresspass warnings posted anywhere on the property, soon after we were confronted and I was issued a second degree Criminal Tresspass. I'm not positive if the driver was issued second or first degree. I have a mandatory arraignment in a week, and am uncertain of what to do. I feel the trespass was given wrongly as there were no warnings posted.

Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Criminal Trespass - 2nd Degree

1. Get an attorney.

2. If you can't afford an attorney, one will be appointed.

3. Go to the court hearing. Plead NOT GUILTY.

4. Do not waive a jury trial; demand a jury trial.

5. Do not accept a plea agreement.
