drug testing and time line of being charged with a crime

how long does it take to get a test back from lab? And how will I be contacted? I have not been charged with anything or arrested.I do have to pay a civil fine of $204.00.

Good question. I have seen cases where it has taken over a year for the test results to return and the case to be filed. If time is crucial then you may consider having a lawyer contact the prosecutor's office. Then you may have a "pre-accusatorial delay" argument for dismissing the case.
