Legal Question in DUI Law in Washington

Taking care of DUI charge - WA

I have an outstanding bench warrant for a DUI as well as Assault 4th degree in Snohomish Co. WA. I moved to CALIF before I got any notifications of court dates, hence the warrants. I want to get these cleared up ASAP & was told by the clerk to either post bond & take a chance on a random arraignment date or come in on my own as they have arraignments every Tue. The question is, since I now reside in CALIF & it would be a hardship to travel more than once back up to WA to take care of these issues, can it be transferred to a CA court? Or what would be the first step to taking care of resolving these warrants?

Your first step is to contact an attorney up here in Snohomish County to look into the matter for you. Then, you will need to post bond either through cash by the attorney or through a bail bondsman. Then a court hearing date will be scheduled that you will know about well in advance. Then you can confer by telephone with the attorney. I've done this kind of case many times and I know it can be handled. Good luck!
