Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Chil's right to choose.

I live in Wa state. My children no longer wish to go to their father's for visitation. At what age do they have the right to reufse seeing him? Where can I get more info on this?

Re: Chil's right to choose.

At 18 you can no longer be held in contempt if your children don't see their father. Until then you are supposed to encourage - or at bare minimum NOT discourage them from visiting their father.

If the situation at their father's is unbearable for the kids you need to engage in dispute resolution (if your plan requires that) or go back to court and ask the court to modify the order.

There is this myth that there is some magic age when kids get to determine for themselves whether or not they see the other parent. Its a myth,
