Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

my fiance wants to be put on my daughters birth certificate and change her last name to his. he isnt her father but there isnt any guys name on the birth certificate. how would he be able to do that?

Since he is not her biological father, ultimately, he would need to adopt her. If I were you, I would wait until you are married to do the adoption, since there needs to be a social worker report filed in the course of the adoption, and seeing that the mother is married to the proposed adoptive father demonstrates that this is as serious a relationship as there can be and that tends to result in a favorable recommendation from the social worker.
