Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

Personal injury

I fell and fractured my ankle while exiting off an airline flight. There was a a 2-3 inch crack in the ground where the steps where placed to get off the plane and my foot caught it and I fell. Should I be looking for compensation.

Re: Personal injury

I'm very sorry to hear of your accident. You may be able to receive compensation if this happened in the last three years.

Feel free to write or call with more information, which will be kept confidential, of course. I'll need to know how well you can see; whether there was an employee stationed at the step helping you down; and any other details you can remember. I'd also like to know if there were any witnesses, such as anyone with whom you were traveling.

I'd also like to know what action the airline took when you fell - for example, did someone drive you to an emergency room?

I'm in Pierce County but have clients all over Washington.

Take care,

Re: Personal injury

I am sorry to hear of your injury. You are in an excellent position to receive compensation as airlines are "common carriers" and are liable for any injury. Putting the steps right in front of a crack also sounds negligent. Please contact me directly if you'd like further assistance.

Dear Sir/Madam:

You may certainly seek monetary compensation; however, the results of the case will depend on the circumstances surrounding your injury.
