Re: Condo Association Rules

You need to go read the section of the RCW's that deals with condo associations created before 1990 (there is a special chapter on this) and follow the rules.

There are attorneys who specialize in homeowner associations. If you go look at a v v o dot com and use real estate as a search term, you will find one.

I appreciate that this website (Lawguru) is a quick and easy way to get a straight answer, but usually, good attorneys won't charge you for a consult. You have a duty to the HOA to proceed correctly; you need to know what that is, and I cannot tell you based on what you provide.

You would be very well served to make an appointment with somebody local and make sure you are doing it right.

After you find the attorney you want, the HOA can pay for counsel, it does not have to come out of your pocket.

Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
