Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington

remove tenants for demolition of old apartments building

the tenants are renting an apartment on month to month as indicated on the orginal one year lease that was expired few years ago.the building was too old that the owner wants to sell it to developer to tear down and put a new building there.will the tenants get compensation to move out? how much can they get? will they get the money from the old owner or new owner? is there any difference between when the building is selling and after the house is sold?

That depends upon where the building is located. If it is in Seattle, then the Seattle Tenant Eviction Ordinance requires certain steps to be followed. Otherwise, everywhere else in Washington, to my knowledge, has no such restrictions and requirements for compensation. You need to speak with an attorney about this matter.
