Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington

Beneficiaries Inheritance

My husband's Mom passed away. She named her 2 sons as beneficiaries. She lived with her Mother for 27+ years. They had taken out a mortgage against the house which belonged to her Mom. The deed was then put into my mother-in-law's name. Now my husband's Uncle is threatening to sue the beneficiaries for half the house. Is this something valid?

Way, WAY more information is required before someone can give you an opinion on this matter. How was the house held? Did the mother devise the house to your mother-in-law? And about 20 other questions are necessary. Have your husband or whoever is the Personal Representative of your mother-in-law's estate see an attorney.
