Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington

Father dying and we can not find his will

Are Wills filled at time of death or does the attorney file them with the County after it is notarized? Is there a way to find it if it is in records?

He is unable to answere us.

Re: Father dying and we can not find his will

The attorney does what the client asks for. There is a will repository in each county, but there is no requirement to file the will there. You may be able to find out if there is a will for your father in the repository, but you won't be able to get it until your father dies or he orders it release.
