Re: agent of the firm

An employee is an agent of the company or person he may be working for while he is acting within the scope of his employment. Thus, a driver for a trucking firm who is in an accident creates liability for his employer to the victim for injuries and damages which may occur in the accident. Likwise, an employee who enters into a contract with a third person who knows he is an employee or agent of the employer will bind the employer to the terms of the contract.
