purchased used unusable sleep number bed
purchased a king size series 5000 sleep number bed from classified ad which stated in good condition. owner said that he was remodeling and needed to sell the bed(bed was not set up) he told us that it was freshly washed When we started to set up the bed, we found that mattress cover and foundation coverlet had been shrunk rendering the bed unusable. have left message with previous owner for return call to no avail
He held a personal check until we took cash(returning the check) what recourse do we have?

Sounds like fraud in the inducement. Your remedy is to bring suit in Magistrate Court.
