Legal Question in Consumer Law in Wisconsin

I paid for my son to 90 days in a sober living facility. He was only there 8 days. I never saw a contract indicading no refunds, however, the owner of the home is saying my son signed the agreement. I never saw the agreement or even knew about one. This is not the first time he has stayed at this sober living place. I never recieved a receipt indicating no refunds, nor saw a contract stating no refunds.

What can I do....if anything? I am out $11,000.00 and the owner refuses to give me anything back. I think $11,000.00 for 8 is unheard of. Several months ago I paid $75.00/day.

Please advise

Regards,

Kevin

A letter from an experienced attorney is probably your best bet for bringing this detox services vendor to bargaining table short of a lawsuit, assuming that you cannot settle on your own. While there are no guarantees that it would work, it is a low cost alternative to a suing which just might solve the problem. And if it doesn't work, you can always escalate the claim to litigation with the same lawyer, but for an additional fee.
