Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
Am i entitled to a lawyer at my bond hearing (initial appearance) in wisconsin ?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Yes, if you can manage to hire an attorney while in jail and schedule him in time for such a hearing, you are entitled to have him represent you at a bond hearing or any other type of hearing, for that matter.. However, if you were unable to do all of this in time, but later were able to finally hire a lawyer, your lawyer would usually still get the opportunity to set up a 2nd bond hearing which your lawyer could attend. My answer here does not make me your lawyer, so you need to consult one of your own before acting upon this.
