Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

Mail seized by customs!

A purchase was made from an internet provider of pharmacuticals. The Items ordered were mostly antibiotics along with 100 xanax (considered a stress reliever)

When the package arrived via the US mail....it had been obviously opened & resealed. Inside were the Anti-biotics....But the Xanax was gone & in it's place was a note that read as follows.....

"Pursuant to 19CFR145.59, narcotics and/or other contraband prohibited from entry into the US have been seized from this mail shipment for appropriate action and disposition under Customs Law".

I'm a little worried as you might guess........

Can they/ will they come after me?....search my house?........

Thanks in Advance for your Help...

Re: Mail seized by customs!

Yes and Yes. Did you have a prescription? Make sure

you keep it and/or get a note from you doctor.

Any name or office address mentioned in the note?

You may not want to discuss this further on line--

it could be difficult to identify who actually

orderred something over the internet, since at

best the electronic trail will just identify a

a computer, not the user. Public disclosures

could give you away. Feel free to

call--414-633-3090.
