Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Legal Seperation

I am inquiring about how I can prevent my husband from shutting down all finances to me during filing for a divorce. He has always had total control over finances and has used them numeroues times to get his way with me.

I have been in an abusive and adulterous marriage for over 1 1/2 yrs.

I have two children who are being effected even more than myself.

I need protection..please help me.

Re: Legal Seperation

Hello,

You need to try to get a list of all that you have before you file. And then after you file, you can get a temporary order from the court on finances and that should help. If he gets rid of property you want to be able to catch him. You should consult with a lawyer in your area on this point who can learn the details of your situation.

Best wishes, Mark J. Mahoney
