Legal Question in Immigration Law in Wisconsin

H-1B1 Visa

My H-1B1 Visa expires at the end of August, how long after do i have before i leave the country. I would like to stay for 2 weddings which are 3 weeks after my expiration. I do not plan to continue working, but would like to stay on till the end of September.

No attorney should advise you to stay in violation of your status. You are required to leave upon the expiration of your authorized stay. It may be possible to change you over to visitor status or extend your H-1 if certain prerequisites are met. You may contact my office to discuss your case further.
