Legal Question in Employment Law in Wisconsin

Employmenr Descrimination

Would there be grounds for a descrimination suite if your employer dismissed you woth no cause. Only stating that You don't fit in with us and we don't fit in with you. Truthfully the employer did this after finding out information from a previous employer which was not true.

Re: Employmenr Descrimination

Employers who fire an employee for an illegal reason seldom inform the employee that is why they were fired. It may not be illegal to fire an employee because they don't fit in, people can be fired for many poor, stupid or strange reasons without a law being violated. For example, firing someone because they are not a Packer fan may be bad business, but it is not illegal, even in Green Bay. However, if the employer is saying the employee does not fit in because of their race, religion, gender, national origin, age or disability, then you have illegal action.
