My roommate and I signed a 1 year lease. We didnt get along so i took over the lease. That lease was terminated, she moved out, and we still havent signed a new lease that just has my name on it. Is the other lease still in effect? I am late on rent and my landlord has threatened to evict me and take me to court to pay the remainder of the rent; however, we dont have a new lease signed? What is going to happen?

Who "terminated" the old lease?
If it was the Landlord, you are now on a month to month verbal lease, assumably the same rent. If not paid on time, you can be evicted.
